UVA TTA was formed by the merger of two previous training programs administered by the Center for Transportation Studies: the Virginia Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) and the Transportation Professional Development Program (TPDP). UVA TTA now serves as the FHWA-designated LTAP Center for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
